Pet Pals of Texas is running critically low on pet food in its Pet Food Bank, which provides food for pets belonging to disabled owners. Pet Pals needs dry food for cats and dogs of any brand and any size that you can donate.

I set a date and time for this event, but there isn't an official date or time. It is just a suggestion. Donations can be made 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Saturday, at the Castle Hills Self-Storage facility located at 7340 Blanco Road. Just tell the staff that the donation is for Pet Pals of Texas.

If you would prefer to donate money instead of food, Pet Pals of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

I'm not planning to mention that these donations come from the San Antonio Atheist Group, but if you feel the need, be my guest.

Sounds good. Shannon is out Pet Pals point of contact, so we can ask her what they need when the time comes.

BTW, I'm thinking of also scheduling a volunteer day, so that we can help Pet Pals sort, distribute, or whatever they need done. Anyone interested in helping?

Thanks for the info! I'm actually busy tomorrow morning, so I'm swinging by today after work.

I dropped some food off Wednesday. The storage office is a combo storage/post office. When you walk in the door, the post office desk is straight ahead and the storage facility desk is on the right. I told the guy I was dropping food off for Pet Pals and he let me drive in through the gate and helped me load the food from my car into the Pet Pals storage office. I may call to warn him that a lot of food might be coming in Saturday.
