I follow several blogs, and the term "angry atheist" is being bandied about in such a way that seemingly precludes the idea of an atheist being anything but angry.

Should our group strictly be a social group or should we also participate in activist and community activities, such as food drives, blood drives, Habitat for Humanity, etc?

How do you feel about the group being more open about the nature of our group at meetups. This may include some members wearing atheist T-shirts, identifying ourselves to charities or having people answer truthfully when asked what sort of group we are a part of.
